FITTER-EU workshop on energy poverty & vulnerability

On February 25th, an online workshop with experts from Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Portugal, italy and Spain took place, focusing on the intersectional impact of energy poverty on vulnerability. The discussion was centered around three key questions:
- How can the twin transition effectively reduce persistent energy poverty among the most vulnerable groups?
- Can renewable energy sources play a key role in ensuring fair and secure access to energy for all?
- What types of social innovations are needed to effectively combat energy poverty?
The workshop’s main aim was to analyse the effects of energy poverty and explore how the ideas and concepts developed within the FITTER-EU project can support the creation of strategies to address its impact.
